Friends Working Bees every Tuesday and Thursday

General working bees occur every Tuesday and Thursday (weather permitting).
Members are welcome.  You need to be a Friends member for insurance purposes.

9:30am to 11:30am with coffee after in the Village Centre

If you would like to join the group please email:   contact@arboretumcanberra.org.au for further information.  Volunteers often meet at the far end of the car park, but if you are on the list the coordinator will send you specific information each week and sometimes direct you directly to a forest.

Often this task involves weeding in a forest or on a rocky knoll,  removing tree guards and/or cleaning up around the trees.  Rarely does it involve planting trees.  All work is undertaken under the direction of horticultural officers.

Wear appropriate clothes for the weather including long trousers and sturdy footwear, gardening gloves and a hat.  Safety vests and first aid kit will be provided.

Bring a drink with you because we will not be near the Village Centre.
