Become a volunteer
You don't need any special skills to be involved and training is available to all
volunteers. Friends who are interested in any of the following volunteer opportunities
please contact us.
Working bees
Love to get your hands dirty? See the calendar of events
for dates.
Bus guides
Generally required on 'open days' on the second Sunday of each month, see
the calendar of eventss.
Bucketeers
Collect donations at the front gate or the Visitor Centre. Talk to visitors and
answer questions. Open days - second Sunday of each month, see the
calendar of events.
Rocky knoll gnomes
Work on one of the rocky knolls. All work is directed by the curator, Adam Burgess.
This is a new project to commence shortly, so contact us
to keep up to date.
Research team
Research projects - research species being planted in the Arboretum & create
a written and pictorial resource to be involved with tree measurement, frog watch,
bird watch or site history.
Special projects team
Special projects eg, planting reeds around the new dam. This is a new project to
commence shortly, contact us to keep up to date.
Floriade team
Each year the Friends develop a special program for weekends throughout Floriade. More information will be provided closer to the
event, contact us to keep up to date.
Voices in the Forest guide
Voices in the Forest,
a spectacular musical event will be held on 12 November and Friends will be able
to volunteer as guides. More information to be provided closer to the day.
