The Friends of the Arboretum have been sizzling with the amount of produce to make with such an array of wonderful produce to make this year. The figs are big, fat and juicy, so the organically grown fruit are delicious.
The Discovery Kitchen Garden has also been at work growing the tasty, beautiful tomatoes, eggplants, chillies, capsicums and a great variety of herbs - testament to the careful tending of this kitchen display garden and the loving care our volunteers have been doing.
We've also had access to the Sensory Garden's lavender, chocolate mint and other beautifully perfumed "goodies" which our volunteers have dried for use in wardrobes, storage and even in your car. What a great reminder of the beautiful National Arboretum!
Summary: The Friends' Market Stall will be selling Arboretum-sourced produce for purchase on Saturday 14 April from 10.30am - 2.00pm (or until sold out!). The stall will be located near the Discovery Kitchen Garden, alongside a pop-up stall for the Curatoreum.
