Let's create the Friends' Zigzag Garden!

Hot on the heels of the Friends’ Garden atop Dairy Farmers Hill, Friends' Council has determined that it would be highly appropriate to turn the group’s sights towards sponsorship of a Zigzag Garden in the Central Valley.

Friends have chosen to sponsor Garden #19, the Saltbush Garden, along the Zigzag walkway of the Central Valley.  It will make a stunning foreground vista looking towards the Village Centre and from it.  Our aim is to raise $50,000 – the cost of this Garden

Launched at the 13 November Friends’ General Meeting, this major fund-raiser needs your help to make it a reality! To kick start the launch of the Garden, the Friends' Council have committed $5,000.

We are now looking for donations from the Friends' community: family, friends, work colleagues and indeed the public to help this become a reality.

This is an exclusive opportunity to continue to demonstrate the Friends’ passion to support the development of the Arboretum and progress the vision of 100 Forests – 100 Gardens, the title of the winning entry for the creation and development of the Arboretum.  This is a part of the larger National Arboretum of Canberra project to develop the Central Valley.

Give a gift of colour, movement, fragrance and beauty – all gifts to the Friends' Zigzag Garden greater than $2 are tax deductible.

Go to the Zigzag Garden link - and check out Learn More too, where you can see how much of the $50,000 has been committed.
