Launch of Friends' Zigzag Garden - 28 March 2019

The Friends' Zigzag Garden, for which we are currently fund-raising, is being launched on Thursday 28 March.  As you remember, we have secured Garden 19, which has been planted with Salt Bush, a tough little evergreen bush which will grow into a dense, rounded hedge of pretty, silver grey leaves.  Importantly, Salt Bush is drought-tolerant and loves the full sun so it will be perfect for this site.  Lizards also like it.

Other Gardens also being launched that day are Garden 5, the Carpet Rose ‘Apple Blossom’, thanks to the generosity of Jan Morgan, Friends Council Member and current Volunteer of the Year; and Garden 17, Japanese Barberry.

The gardens were planted last December and all Friends are invited to attend this initial launch.
