Donate to the National Arboretum Canberra Public Trust Fund
The Friends of the National Arboretum Canberra Inc. invite you to make a donation to our Fund to support the development of the National Arboretum Canberra. Donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Where do donation funds go?
The Friends use all of their donated funds for specific National Arboretum Canberra projects. These projects are determined in consultation with members of the Friends, the donor, the Arboretum Team and the ACT Government.
Since the formal opening of the Arboretum we have helped with a number of fund raising projects. We have donated a fire trailer with water storage, installed sponsored park benches , published The Arboretum Book, Forests of the National Arboretum Canberra and the Arboretum Calendar.
You can guide where your donation funds are directed when you select from a number of categories, including: general donation; support tree planting; seat program; Southern Tablelands Ecosystem Park (STEP) site; promotions including children's music activities. Or you might like to let us know a particular donation you would like to support.
Very popular have been the large number of park benches installed with funds from the "seat program". These have been installed at various locations around the Arboretum providing significant amenity for visitors. Plaques are installed on the seats with information about the donors or to recognise someone (as requested).
All Friends Trust Account funds are protected by law and can only be released with the approval of our appointed Trustees.
In 2015 we will add a number of new initiatives that will continue to contribute valuable community and visitor amenity to the Arboretum site.
