Donate to the Friends' ZIG ZAG Garden - No 19

The Friends invite you to make a donation to our ZIG ZAG fund to support the development of the Friends' salt bush garden.  Donations over $2 are tax deductible. To request an official receipt for your Donation, please contact us and provide the transaction number you received when making the donation and your contact/address details.

Where do donation funds go?

The Friends are currently fundraising to build and plant one of the 24 Zig Zag gardens that you can see as you drive up to the Visitor's centre. In fact the Friends' have chosen Garden 19 and it will be a mass planting of salt bush plants.
The friends' use all of their donated funds for specific National Arboretum Canberra projects.  These projects are determined in consultation with members of the Friends, the donor, the Arboretum Team and the ACT Government.

Since the formal opening of the Arboretum we have helped with a number of fund raising projects.  We have donated a fire trailer with water storage, installed sponsored park benches , published The Arboretum Book, Forests of the National Arboretum Canberra and the Arboretum Calendar.

You can guide where your donation funds are directed when you select from a number of categories, including:  general donation; supporting tree planting; seat program; Southern Tablelands Ecosystem Park (STEP) site; Harvesting group and the Bonsai group. Or you might like to let us know a particular donation you would like to support.

Very popular have been the large number of park benches installed with funds from the "seat program".  These have been installed at various locations around the Arboretum providing significant amenity for visitors.  Plaques are installed on the seats with information about the donors or to recognise someone (as requested).

All Friends Trust Account funds are protected by law and can only be released with the approval of our appointed Trustees.

Special thanks to our amazing awesome generous Sponsors
